Armed Forces & First Responder’s Heroes Ball

This website was built for an event hosted by the Detroit Police Department’s 11th Precinct. The Heroes Ball event is a follow-up/prequel event to their Veteran’s Day Parade and Luncheon.

This WordPress based website has quite an advanced event ticket system and was applauded by the Department of Homeland Security! In order to purchase a ticket, a visitor must sign up for an account, providing the required information to perform a background check. Once the background check is complete, their account is activated and they are able to purchase tickets. In order to purchase tickets, they must provide information on the ticket holder (name, address, dob). Once the ticket is purchased, it is emailed and texted to the purchaser. The ticket itself includes the provided ticket holder’s information and a QR code that verified the ticket holder’s information. As an added precaution, ID’s can be checked and compared to tickets at the door. Another amazing feature is that an “X” amount of tickets were able to be classified as VIP tickets so long as the purchase provided a proper promo key.
